Parent & Me: 6–12 Months
Every smile, sound, and new movement marks an exciting step in your baby’s first year. Cassidy Preschool’s 6–12 Month Parent & Me Class is designed to celebrate these important milestones while giving infants and caregivers a welcoming place to learn, play, and grow together.
This engaging weekly class introduces babies to a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage curiosity and confidence. Through songs, movement, sensory exploration, stories, and interactive play, infants are given opportunities to strengthen emerging motor skills, language development, and social awareness in a nurturing environment designed just for them.
Caregivers are active participants throughout each class, making every activity a shared experience that strengthens the parent-child relationship. Whether your baby is beginning to sit independently, crawl, babble, or eagerly explore new surroundings, you’ll discover simple, practical ways to encourage learning through everyday interactions and play.
Classes are led by Heather Ward, M.A., LMFT, who combines professional expertise with a compassionate, family-centered approach. Each session includes guided conversations on topics that are especially relevant during the first year of life, including communication, sleep routines, emotional development, developmental milestones, introducing boundaries, and building confidence as your baby becomes increasingly curious about the world.
The Parent & Me program also offers something many new families value just as much as the curriculum—a supportive community. Parents and caregivers have opportunities to connect with others navigating the same stage of parenting, sharing experiences, celebrating milestones, and building friendships that often continue beyond the classroom.
