As toddlers become more mobile and independent, every day brings exciting new discoveries. Cassidy Preschool’s 13–20 Month Parent & Me Class is designed to support this remarkable stage of development through engaging activities that encourage exploration, communication, and growing confidence. Children and caregivers learn side by side in a warm, welcoming environment where curiosity is celebrated and every milestone is valued.

Each weekly class features developmentally appropriate experiences including sensory play, music, movement, stories, art exploration, and outdoor activities that nurture your toddler’s natural desire to learn. As children begin walking, climbing, communicating, and interacting more with others, our carefully planned activities help strengthen gross and fine motor skills, language development, social awareness, and early problem-solving abilities.

Parents and caregivers participate alongside their child, creating meaningful opportunities to strengthen their bond while learning practical ways to support development at home. As toddlers begin testing boundaries, expressing emotions, and developing their own personalities, caregivers gain valuable insight into understanding and responding to these important developmental changes.

Classes are led by Rebekka Helford, LMFT, who provides compassionate guidance on topics that matter most during the toddler years. Weekly parenting discussions cover subjects such as communication, emotional regulation, routines, positive discipline, sleep transitions, sibling relationships, and fostering independence with confidence. Families are encouraged to share experiences, celebrate successes, and ask questions in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

One of the greatest benefits of the program is the sense of community it creates. Both children and caregivers have opportunities to build lasting friendships with other local families experiencing similar milestones. These early social experiences help toddlers become comfortable interacting with peers while giving parents a valuable network of support.
