Parent & Me: 6–12 Months
Your baby’s first year is filled with incredible moments of growth, discovery, and connection. Cassidy Preschool’s 6–12 Month Parent & Me Class provides a nurturing environment where infants and caregivers explore these milestones together through engaging play experiences designed specifically for this important stage of development.
Each week, families participate in activities that encourage babies to explore the world through movement, music, sensory play, stories, and hands-on discovery. Every experience is thoughtfully planned to support emerging motor skills, early communication, sensory awareness, and social-emotional development while allowing babies to learn at their own pace in a safe and welcoming setting.
Parents and caregivers are an essential part of every class. Rather than simply observing, you’ll actively participate alongside your baby, strengthening your bond while learning practical ways to encourage development through everyday interactions. Whether your little one is learning to sit independently, crawl, babble, or investigate everything within reach, each session provides meaningful opportunities to celebrate new achievements together.
Under the guidance of Heather Ward, M.A., LMFT, families receive expert support from a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with extensive experience working with young children and parents. Weekly discussions explore topics such as developmental milestones, communication, sleep routines, emotional development, creating healthy daily rhythms, and building confidence during your baby’s first year. Caregivers are encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical strategies that extend well beyond the classroom.
The Parent & Me program is also an opportunity to become part of a caring community. Families connect with others experiencing similar milestones, creating friendships and support networks that often continue long after the class has ended. These shared experiences help both babies and caregivers feel connected while building confidence in new social settings.
