Parent & Me: 6–12 Months
The first year of your baby’s life is filled with unforgettable moments, and every new sound, smile, and movement is an opportunity to learn together. Cassidy Preschool’s 6–12 Month Parent & Me Class provides a nurturing Saturday morning experience where babies and caregivers can explore, connect, and celebrate these milestones through developmentally appropriate activities designed for the earliest stages of childhood.
Each week, families enjoy a thoughtfully planned combination of music, movement, sensory play, storytelling, and interactive exploration. These experiences encourage babies to strengthen emerging motor skills, develop early communication, explore their senses, and build confidence as they discover the world around them. Every activity is designed to support healthy development while creating joyful moments between babies and their caregivers.
Our Saturday class is especially popular with families because both parents are welcome to attend. Whether weekdays are filled with work commitments or you simply want to experience your baby’s milestones together, this weekend class provides a meaningful opportunity for the entire family to participate. Sharing these early learning experiences helps strengthen family bonds while allowing everyone to celebrate each new accomplishment together.
Parents and caregivers are active participants throughout every class, learning practical ways to encourage development through everyday routines and play. Guided by Lolis Marquez, Associate LMFT, each session also includes supportive conversations about topics such as developmental milestones, communication, sleep, routines, emotional development, and creating a nurturing environment during your baby’s first year. Families are encouraged to ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain confidence through expert guidance and shared experiences.
Just as valuable as the developmental activities is the sense of community that grows within the class. Babies enjoy their earliest social interactions with peers while caregivers connect with other local families navigating the same exciting stage of parenthood. Many families develop friendships that continue long after the program concludes.
